The honeymoon registry will take a lot of effort,
coordination and planning. If and when it does not turn out
as successful as you would like it to be, it is kind of
heart breaking, and not a great way to start your married
life.
However, before we write it off as a bad tradition, let us
cast a glance on the advantages it offers. When the guests
are really tuned in to the idea, you will find an excellent
way to pay for a wonderful honeymoon without stretching
your financial sources any further.
Instead of getting five toasters, three juicers, and
unending sets of china tea sets, you will be able to make
your wishes clear about what you need from your guests. The
guests could decide whether they want to join the honeymoon
registry or not, based upon their financial capacity and
commitments.
Even in the worst of worst conditions, you are still
getting a good source of cash through this. In this case,
you can always think about the honeymoon registry as a
subsidy to your honeymoon expenses, even if you do not get
buyers for the things listed in the registry.
Lastly, you can use the money deposited in your honeymoon
registry any way you want. It does not matter where you go
and where you stay for your honeymoon, or if you do not go
at all. They money is yours to use as you would like best.
